About La Luz Midwifery

All families deserve to have safe, kind, compassionate, and respectful care during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.  Choosing to use a midwife for your care is the best way to do this.  Midwives provide evidence based care that is personalized to your own individual needs and provide education that empowers you to have the healthiest pregnancy, birth, and start to parenthood possible.  If you are pregnant or considering becoming pregnant, please consider contacting us for a free consultation and more information.

Meet the Midwife

Darcy Clark is a Certified Professional Midwife and Licensed Midwife in the state of Idaho.  She graduated from Mercy in Action College of Midwifery in 2018.  Darcy completed her clinical training with a variety of local midwives in both small home birth practices and a busy birth center.  Darcy has a passion for providing the highest quality care and making midwifery care accessible to all families.  She especially enjoys building relationships with the women she serves.  Darcy is happily married and has two precious little girls who were both born at home with a midwife.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, camping, and spending time in the great outdoors.

We make housecalls (or office calls)!

Darcy desires to make midwifery care accessible to all families. All of your prenatal visits and postpartum visits will be in your home or office. Darcy will bring her bag of supplies with her and can provide all of your care in your home or office. This is an especially convenient option for families who have other children at home, who have limited transportation options, or for women who are employed full time.
